Social technologies for educational purposes

We have as much to learn as we do to share. We are not just here to teach a class, but to build a community of people interested in the world of wine. Collaboration and hands-on interactions lead to better knowledge retention. By utilizing social media tools such as Twitter, wikis, and social networks, you will have access to more information, be more effective in applying the concepts you learn in class, and have more fun than you would attending a lecture. If you've not yet experienced these social technologies or you're just not that into the idea, don't let that deter you from our classes. The use of these social tools is not mandatory, but we think you will benefit from and enjoy collaborative learning, even if you don't choose to participate by using social media. If you decide you'd like to give social media a try, we'll be glad to walk you through it.
