A wine tasting adds that perfect touch to any professional event or private celebration. A tasting can be a kick-off to your event to help your guests relax and loosen up, or it can be the entire focus. It can be as simple as a cocktail tasting party where your guests roam the room tasting various wines, or we can create a customized educational wine event for groups of any size, sure to enlighten even the most avid connoisseur. Just be confident in knowing that we will work with you to help make your event a memorable one. Our attention to detail and focus on guest satisfaction will impress your guests.

You can select a theme from the list below, or we will work with you to create a customized one. We’ll choose the wines and can suggest foods that will complement them. If you have specific wines you would like to use, we can also plan the tasting around those.

Planning a wine tasting event is actually very simple...

We:

• Work with you or your event planner to plan your themed wine tasting party, based around your budget.
• Design a presentation of the wines for you and your guests.
• Arrange the wine order for you (so all you have to do is pay for and pick up the wines.)
• Bring the glassware (no need to wash or dry for this party - and no worrying about breakage!)
• Take care of any set-up of wines and glassware.
• Ensure that your wine tasting is facilitated by a knowledgeable wine professional, who will present the wines to your group and who will be available to answer questions or converse with your guests after the presentation. Total time included is up to 2 hours at your event, including set-up, presentation, and clean-up. Actual presentations typically last about 1 hour.

You:

• Choose a date (see our calendar below for currently available dates).
• Choose a theme from our list of wine party themes (see below), or we can customize one for you.
• your friends (make it easy and have everyone bring a food dish)!
• Pick up the wines (we’ll select and arrange the order for you, all you have to do is pay for and pick them up; in some areas we can bring the wines to you (VA excluded).
• Sit back, enjoy your guests, and have some fun (and some wine)!

Cost:

• Our fee - $250 (please note that this does not include the wine.)
• Wine – can range from $50 - $150 per 15 guests (you set the budget, we’ll find the wine!)

Terms:

• The location of the event must be within 30 miles of Reston, VA according to Google Maps directions (an extra fee applies to events further than 30 miles.)
• A deposit of 50% of the total fee must be received to confirm your chosen date.
• Private tastings can be held at any location, according to local alcoholic beverage laws.
• We can assist you in obtaining any licensing you may need to serve alcohol at your event.

Tasting Policies

Wine Palate LLC is not licensed to purchase and transport wine for events and tastings. However, we will arrange the order directly with the wine retailer of your choice, so all you have to do is pick up and pay for it. All participants must be of legal drinking age.
